What to Expect from Your X-ray and OPG
During the Procedure
For general X-rays, patients may need to wear a gown and remove metallic items. You’ll be positioned accordingly for the clearest images. Most X-ray appointments take just a few minutes, with more complex cases taking longer.
For dental X-rays:
OPG: Stand with your face resting on a shelf and bite a sterile piece to steady your head.
Lat Ceph: Stand with your head against the machine with supports positioned like headphones for a precise side view.
Preparing for Your Appointment
No special preparation is required for dental X-rays. Bring any previous X-rays and inform the technician if pregnancy is possible.
Booking and Results
Dental X-rays do not require a booking at Platinum Medical Imaging. Walk-ins are welcome during operating hours. For convenience, online bookings are available. Your referring doctor will receive a detailed report promptly after your test.
